Jesus and LGBTQ+: What is Love?

During this introductory episode, Pastor Justin and Pastor Robey set the tone for the series and outlined their approach to the conversation. At City Rev Church, we believe the Bible is life-giving and expresses God's love for humanity. This podcast series will approach the conversation about LGBTQ+ issues to create a safe space for dialogue. We hope this podcast series will be instructive and foster healthy discussions among friends and family members with differing opinions.

 

This first episode will highlight the significance of having a loving conversation, recognizing that there have been unloving actions and hurtful experiences on all sides of this discussion. Pastor Robey shares personal stories illustrating the need for love and empathy when engaging with LGBTQ+ individuals. Drawing from the timeless words of 1 Corinthians 13, they explore the biblical definition of love: patient, kind, humble, and seeking the truth. They emphasize that love and truth are intertwined, and a loving conversation must prioritize patience, kindness, and respect for others' perspectives. Join us as we begin the conversation!
